Even if it was a gaming one, they wont use it.

That wasn't a dig at your 'Shattered' banner btw, RQ (I really like it, in fact) but I didn't understand the inconsistency in the rule.  I've seen a few banners here that don't look to be from any game.

Hm... that looks a bit off to me.  The way 'network' overlaps VGU (the space between N and E being so much wider than the space between the other letters drives me nuts) and the differences in the style/artwork of the letters, the blue/turquoise undernearth makes them look a bit paper-ish where as RQ's look like straight-up glass or shattered metal.

I figured, and yea ive seen some to. But i mean, does it really have to be a game? A cool looking banner is a cool looking banner. It's nothing more then Eye Candy when you go to a page on VGU

neutral banners (like the text ones) are fine. but going in a different direction is just wrong.
it's not a rule, it's just a recommendation... a personal factor, if you will.

the blue text was also from one of RQ's variations.
I didn't change the effect.
I just copy/pasted her thing, didn't even resize it.
the N was distanced to allow visibility to the E
but yeah, the "effect" should be the same.
I always saw it as torn paper/cardboard rather than metal or glass
if you don't like it I'll just pull it off,
but RQ gave her go-ahead over skype
to replace the simple VGU one already

@Mattafex - it looks alright

Its ment to be shattered glass. But eh. I think it looks more like paper to XD
