Mostly first-person though sometimes third-person to check out what i'm wearing lol

Well, I uuh sort of pretend I'm there, so 1st person for me. Basically I have hard time immerse myself in 3rd person so for RPGs I definitely prefer to be "down there", so to speak I vote for more 1st person games overall!

I use 3rd person simply because you can see your character. 1st person really is't that realistic and it limits your view. I do sometimes use 1st person when i'm in combat, but that is simply because fighting in 3rd person feels awkward.

I like to switch between the two. I'm not really specific.

I like third person and being able to see my armor more. It makes it feel that much worth while.

I playing in third person when i'm wandering but I switch to first person when i'm in combat.

This. Exactly this. I would spend more time in 3rd person if movement just felt more NATURAL. I guess that can't really happen though. You either get fluid 1st person movement like in Counter Strike (which seems what FO went for), or you can have relatively natural 3rd person movement like in Assassin's Creed, but those two sets of movement don't translate; 3rd person movement in Counter Strike or Call of Duty isn't realistic at all (watching other players, I mean), and 1st person in a game like Assassin's Creed simply wouldn't work well. It's not that the animations wouldn't work, it's the control. Does anyone know what I mean? I'm struggling to put it into words.

Usually 1st seeing as its an roleplay, the only time I go to third is if I want to look at my character or if something happened to said character(glitched/etc)

I use 1st person with enhanced camera, it is a lot more immerse to see your feet, but sometime I like to get that cut-scene feel and use 3rd person,but make sure you've got immerse HUD.

I like to use 1st person with the enhanced camera, WAR, and the compatibility patch for the two, along with immersive HUD. Except every once in a while I go to third to take screenshots, check out my characters armor, etc.

JSev33 I know exactly what you mean, some games are made for 3rd person and some for 1st and I think fallout is made for 1st person

I have to say that 1st preson is my fav for any game if there is choice I'll go with 1st person, cos it makes me feel like I am that character in the game, I get to see what my character sees and not some kind of weirdo that watches the character from behind (3rd person), I still like 3rd person games like hitman series, gears of war series etc.
but if there would be an option I would play in 1st person, imagine GTA V 1st Person that would be awesome.

I switch back and forth a lot. Though i've been playing in first person more often now. With the Enhanced Camera mod I can actually look down and see my characters legs. Gives the game an ARMA vibe that I'm totally okay with.

If someone has missed it, I must really recommend using Enhanced Camera with WAR AND Weapon animation replacers - Enhanced camera Compatibility patch. It really makes playing 1p a lot more immersive (I think) than just vanilla!

Well Im using the Sniper Elite V2 armor with my character looking alot like Big Boss so I mainly use 3rd Person View when I feel like sneaking and doing things quiet and use 1st Person View to the opposite of that.

When in a stalemate, use both at the same time! I use the mod Weapon Animation Replacers - Enhanced Camera compatibility pack so I could see my third person arms while in first person!

I like playing 3rd person 90% of the time. I mainly use 1st person when I am searching places to get a better closer view. But I am a big 3rd person user. Not a big 1st person player.

3rd person for traveling/scenery
1st person for combat
all day erry day

I do a bit of both, but mostly 3rd person. I enjoy watching my character roam through the wastes looking all bad-ass. I usually only use 1st person when the baddies get in close and i dont have much elbow room.
