LR EDE was sooo much better than vanilla EDE. LR EDE had such a personality. And felt terrible when he risked himself to stop the nukes.

For the Fallout 3 base game: I'd have to say Fawkes, I loved that big mutant beast folloing me around helping me save the world.
For the fallout 3 mods: Moira companion mod, I always loved Moira in the original game. she was friendly, positive and nice. for most people she was the first real character they met in the wasteland, she gives you the armored vault suit. Making her into a companion is just incredible and made the game so much fun.
For Fallout New Vegas base game: Boone, there's just something about traveling the wasteland going against the legion with a sniper at your back that gives me a warm feeling inside. His story is so painful, and he is so well incorporated in the story.
For fallout new vegas mods: it would have to be Willow, enough said. she's probably the est voiced companion in the game, and even now after playing with her by my side for a quite a while. I still discover topics, lines of dialogue and moments I didn't know.

Im a loner when it comes to Fallout, I like the idea of being this wandering stranger who comes into town and rolls some heads. Once and a while i like to have company. Dogmeat, Rex, and EDE are my go to's because for one (they don't have annoying chatter that loops every couple of seconds) and the idea of a having a animal or robot following me around puts me into that Road Warrior mindset were its only me and my dog (no pun intended) vs the World. Don't get me wrong, companions like Russell, Willow, Veronica, Cass, Boone, are nice but only as temporary followers who aid me on a quest that i feel would be suitable for a human companion. But at the end of the day, It's either me going in alone or having a animal or robot tag along. If i could have Cosmo as a companion then we would be two for two.

My most trusted would be Desmond Harper,I really like his accent. Then there would be Willow and her dog JT (looks really awsome if you replace his mesh with the Wolf from Cod wich Dragbody shared with us).But to be honest I dont really like walking around with Companions it looks really silly if everyone walks right behind you,I mean who would do this in real life?And when it comes to Combat it is just too easy,sometimes I cant aim at something because it is already dead,best example for this would be Niner his Sterling smg is too overpowered so I had to give him a vanilla 9mm smg.

Huh, Cosmo looks like he belongs in Mothership Zeta or Old War Blues.

Niner is a really good companion. I defiantly recommend him to anyone who hasn't used him.

I honestly put my faith in animal companions because I know they wouldnt betray me.
Dogmeat, K9, Rex.
Didnt really bring along any human companions that came with vanilla game, just once, to see all quests.
If I lose a couple of hours of dialogue but stay true to my characters background, I can live with that.

For Fallout 3 it's fawkes. The way he screams yeeeeaaaaaaahhh while shooting his gatling laser is priceless.

For FNV it's boone. This guy always gives headshots from any distances

I like Russell, he's a nice change from all the oddly cheerful companions like Niner and Willow, the very same thing that made Boone so great in the vanilla game. Russell maintains the western-feel of the game nicely.

For vanilla though, I've always liked Rex. Not only do I like dogs, but I just feel Rex is a very sympathetic companion and not only that, but he's a badass cyber-dog. Plus there's just something cool about being a Lone Wanderer with a dog in the wasteland.

I would have to say either Willow or Riddick if it came down to who could protect me better it would be Riddick

vanilla FO3, cant go against Dogmeat.. he's my alltime fav companion, for any game and vanilla or modded

FNV i have to go with Boone... when fighting small groups, some will be dead before i even get a chance to aim

Modded FNV i like Willow alot even though she sometimes annoys me, but Russel is pretty BA too

Dogmeat in Fo3
- I'm a dog lover to...

Rex OR Boone in FNV
- I get Boone first for make some head-short and do his side quest.
- Get rid of Boone and pick up Rex. He just a dog, He not speak so mush. And I like He can Knock some one down in battle.

Fallout 3 - Dogmeat. I mean how can you not love wandering the wastes just one man and his dog.

Fallout new vegas - ED-E. first companion I ever picked up in new vegas and as such i love the little rust bucket. he's like my little wasteland R2-D2.

So far my favorite companion is Deadpool. He just says so many funny things and seems to fit in very well in my game because I play as a mercenary. I recommend this mod to anyone who wants to add some humor into Fallout New Vegas.
