for a server hosted by our very own @asc_kel through

He's done this for the past 10 years or so, so he takes lead on its administration.
For further SAMP RPG-ing please address him in the respective subforums.

We will support GTA V modding once the game will be released on PC.

We anticipate that in no time at all, GTA modders and players will join our Network and we will amass more members having more fun for much longer  Especially as soon as GTA V rolls out for PC  

I trust some of you have already played a GTA title,
and if not, this is the best spot to start!

IMPORTANT: Own the games legally and support the developer companies! VGU won't tolerate talk of piracy or hacking that goes beyond the goal of game-enhancing mods and mod packs. Also, respect the mod authors, do not share other people's work without their permission.

Im planning to buy GTA V but i fear that my PC wont be tough enough for it so i will probably just get some stuff to make my new PC to play it and im kind of a intrested is there going to be an VGU gang in GTA V if someone from the VGU buys GTA V for PC?

GTA games seem like fun, but my mother would stick my head on a pike if she saw me playing a GTA game.

@Julum Well that is i dont know bad maybe.I dont know how old your brother is but man just play it dont care what your brother will do to you just play it,i myself have a big brother 35 years old to be more informative once he dint allowed me to play DOOM on his PC but i still did it and he did nothing to me  he just said ''Keep playing im gonna watch some TV''.

So GTA V will be moddable. I hope my pc will be able to run it in a decent way, since it's a really good game with lots of mod possibilities.
Maybe a bit too short and unsatisfying on the single player side, but oh well.

I'm pretty sure that if it goes well on PS3, it will also go well on PC. Minor changes like shaders, textures and amount of people on the streets could be customized or lowered via options.

That's good news, now I can rest assured and wait until my wallet will be full enough to buy it. Which will probably won't happen at all, 'cause I'm a spendaholic. But I'll still try. Yeah.

GTA V will be moddable, just like all the other GTA's, because people will develop the tools to extract the models and modify them just like we have for all the others. As DVA can attest to, I've been modding since GTA Vice City, started one of the first full time GTA SA Mod forums for porting cars from other games (which banned us from the primary GTAForums.com website), and have been modding for SA since it came out on PC. Each game has had people create extraction tools for the files, import/export filters for 3D Studio Max, and many other modding tools that have helped create some of the largest modding communities among gamers.

What this means is, when GTA V hits, it won't be long before we see new cars added, new player skins, etc, just like we did for GTA IV. In fact, a lot of us GTA modders expect many of the tools for GTA IV will work on V for extraction since Rockstar keeps using the same engine with updates, similar to the way Bethesda keeps hacking away at Gamebryo.


Our primary focus here, is to bring modding for a game many people still play to this day (GTA San Andreas), as well as modding for it's sister games GTA IV and V. We also want to carry on a roleplay server which will not focus on the way the games play, which makes it safe for even our younger players to roleplay on, since it will focus on a more scifi style post apocalyptic story using the GTA SA engine and SA-MP multiplayer system as its backbone. This server ran from 2008 til 2013, with a steady 60-80 members roleplaying in it. We're hoping to triple those numbers with the new server and the support of the VGU community.

Look forward to a lot of quality coming out of the modders that will be coming from the GTA side of the gaming community in the coming weeks and months guys.
