| Hi all, I'm Frank from Italy and it's nice to see VGU still alive. When I first registered on the original site, my intent was to learn how create stuff in the Fallout modding world, but due to my job, university and being a "well known" modder on another game (rFactor), I've never had the chance to do so.
I'm a longtime fan of the series, FNV is my fav of the latest games but tbh I like the old F1 and F2 way more. They were ugly to watch and quite hard to play, but yet they were beautiful for those very same reasons.
I didn't know VGU went down until it was too late, but then a friend told me that this VGU 2.0 (Can it be called like that?) was born and I decided to register again and finally start learn modding for this game too (On this matter, do you have a tutorial section here like on the old site? Or if not, do you have any suggestions on where should I look?).
At this point I'm not interested in creating armors/weapons, but instead into quest mods. The wikia is a great source of informations regarding the background of this universe and there's so much stuff with great potential that can be turned from a "boring" plain narrative text on a website to a full immersive quest mod. Something like the Divide for example, the settlement the Courier created on the Long 15 before it was nuked (That is actually not what we explore in the DLC), only mentioned by Ulysses but never actually shown..
Sorry for the long post, tl:dr version: I'm a modder wannabe, with tons of ideas but 0 knowledge of the FNV modding. Not yet, at least. Hope to learn fast and to have a good time in this community!

| Thank you for the warm welcome guys, really appreciated! I spent the night reading the geck tutorials on the official site and well.. It didn't go as planned. So far I somehow managed to flip upside down the statue at Mojave Outpost (Don't ask ); then I put it back again in it's original position and added a giant party hat to them. It's pretty funny.. Seriously, after a quick test at least creating/modifying buildings and such stuff is easier than it sounds and easier than I thought, I'm actually amazed how light and easy to use the geck is. In other games it's way harder. Only problem so far is that the 'duplicate cell' button doesn't work. I click on it and nothing happens.. _________________ Once a N7, always a N7.
