Is it possible to rename dogmeat? I totally get the nostalgia and tradition, but I would really like to rename him..is it doable?

There are two ways I know of to do it. First you can just do it in the GECK and save it.
The second and easiest way is to just change it in the FNVEdit and save and you're good to go.

In matters like this I think it's best to specify what game you're talking about @Kellen Wolf
I assume it's for Fallout 4, right? The E3 reveal showed you can name him whatever you want
but I haven't had that option yet. Perhaps after he gets to like you more, it'll work like a perk of sorts. Otherwise we'll have to scavenge for tutorials or something

I think later down the main quest he gets renamed to Dogmeat automatically and your character actually calls him Dogmeat. At least that happened to me, idk if I did anything else

Ah yes, sorry about that DVAted, I did mean FO4. I Remember the same thing about being able to rename him, however from the searches I've done it doesn't look possible. Does anyone know if anyone is working on a mod manager for FO4? I haven't seen anything on nexus.
