After watching the Force Awakens Trailer for the millionth time and i noticed this guy in the background with Kylo. Personally I really hope they do have mandalorians in the new movie but i just wanted to hear other people thoughts on this.

Looks like a Mandalorian to me. It could be a mercenary. That certainly wouldn't be unlikely.

from what i understand disney retconed alot of the extended universe, unfortunetly i believe the mandalorian wars and a large portion of the KOTOR's old republic lore is not considered canon due to the director of empire strikes back needing a fresh slate and no complicated factors. Im most likely wrong but i know that disney did demolish alto of the EU

well yes they did retcon those but mandalorians are still canon; i.e. boba fett, jango fett, and the mandalorians from the clone wars tv show. Plus in the tv show there is a picture of mandalore the ultimate in the background so there is still hope.

I still find this be very interesting, am curious whatever or not if those Mandalorians could be Death Watch though

I think there would be Mandalorian stormtroopers, Mandalorian mercenaries / bounty hunters hunting for the main protagonist. just like Boba Fett hunting Luke and Han
