I was excited too when i saw the raider in the destroyed- rebuilted power armor made almost all out of scrap. I think that most raiders/bandits will have rebuilted armor, with the new layered armor system, or some low to medium armor in somewhat low condition that they took from people that they killed. And the bandit bosses will most probably have an armor made almost entirely of scrap to make them look bigger and more aggresive with spikes and that kinds of stuff.

I think I'll go with the same look I went with in Fallout New Vegas, if that's even possible. If you look at the character creation in the trailer, it could be that we can't give our wanderer any abnormal hair/skin colours, which is a problem for me seeing as how all my Fallout characters (and my first skyrim character) had neon-red hair. Then again, I was only able to watch the first presentation and the wanderer trailer (which is bloody awesome btw.), so I might have missed something.
Gameplay-wise I think I'll just go with bullet-shooters and stabby-things, since the intro mentions the pair going to a veteran's ball (or something like that, my memory kind of sucks).
Also, the first thing I'm going to do is find Wadsworth and Dogmeat. I hope you can have both at the same time.

Hello there. For me it will be roam mostly and for one i will try to play as a bad attitude bounty hunter(if its possible) who cares more about money:D than other things. I usually play the nice guy but i want to try something different being allitle badder.(hope it will be possible i fallout 4)
AND in terms of abilities i will mostlikely play a siper/sneak guy with high repair and science.

Hi guys. I think I'll agree with zoro4661. The first time I played New Vegas, I tried a lot of looks for my character. Then I noticed a preset that looks like Shay Cormac(from Assassins Creed Rogue). It would be nice of you import your look the next Fallout game and just re-edit or improve it with the game's own engine.

In game-play, somehow I always set my luck to 1. Figures since "Shay" keeps quoting "I make my own luck". Likewise, mine is close to an assassin, thought I hardly use energy weapons. I prefer real lead, and few blades, plus a touch of Commando mode. Few assault capabilities and explosives that help counter a lot of attacks. Makes things more legit in my opinion anyways. Plus I kinda like the start Bad, but end up Good. Gives a nice touch.

My first playthrough will be as a male character I think. Second one might be as female if there will be decent mods already.

Odds are it will be the dude getting the biggest beard possible.

First playthrough will be male, second will be female. They seem as if there will be some difference, hopefully there will be.

I'm definitely going to play as a male character. I simply relate better to the male protagonists because I am male. On my second play through, which probably won't be until like 6 months after the game comes out will then be female but I always choose the male character first.

I guess I'm going to be the odd ball here, my first play through I will probably end up playing as a Female. If recent experience with Dragon Age is any indicator. I tried making several characters for DAI and then finally settled on a female I'm playing now. I usually try Male first though.

For some reason I come closer to finishing games when playing as a female or actually finish them.

ill play as a male, as i am a guy myself. The thought of using a female has never really interested me. I cant really identify with a female character the way i do with a male. And i also prefere the male armors over the female ones

I'll probably play as a male for my first playthrough, but come to think of it i've never done a proper playthrough as a female, But in terms of when i leave the vault i'll probably follow the objective and in true bethedsa fashion, the side quests will come to you.

I'll be playing a male as my first playthrough, as I've used the same character "Lashmer" at least once on all Bethesda games. I've...actually never done a female playthrough before. Gonna have to try it at some point.

Playthrough one will be a lawful evil male, specializing in light armor, sneak, and small guns.
Subsequent will be as follows: heavy weapon specialist, melee specialist, generalist, pyromaniac.

I will play as a male stealth-based character for sure.

I am probably going to be playing as male character at first, as i have done in fallout 3/new vegas. I just hope that "showracemenu" command will work in fallout 4. So i can change between male and female characters as i wish.

I'll start out playing as the male character. Once the mods start rolling out that may change though...

I like playing female characters in Fallout games. Most games with actual roleplay elements and meaningful choices don't have female protagonists (or good ones at least). In vanilla, the males seem to get more attention, but with mods it shifts to female focus I find. I'll be trying out both, but probably won't stick to any males unless they get as much love from mods as females do.
