Darth vader its not even a chalange maul is a skilled saber fighter but has relatively no force abilities where as vader could just choke him to death

In all honesty Vader would win, because he's adapted both in saber combat and force abilities.
If it was just basic sword fighting and the force didn't exist, then Maul's acrobatics would come up in his favour.

Sadly Lucas became a traitor and Disney ruined the Already confusing as hell Canon of SW

Vader would win because unlike Maul who is only trained in purely combat Vader is more trained in the Dark Side of the Force

I had this argument with my brother and friend not too long ago. They think Maul is too agile, but Vader is just too strong in the force to let that be an issue. Maul and his brother had trouble against Ob-Wan in Clone Wars, yet Anakin, who is weaker than Vader, was able to be on par with Obi-Wan in the movies, which if we power scale, is stronger than who he was in the Clone Wars.

Vader. Maul is far weaker in the ways of the force than Vader. Whilst more skilled with a lightsaber I don't think he's on par with Vader. Maul does seem more impressive in the movies but Vader is actually extremely powerful and could potentially be more powerful than Sidious if given enough time. So it does not matter no fancy lightsaber tricks will ever make Maul as nearly as powerful as Vader.

I think Vader is better than Maul in that Vader has had the experience of both sides of the force and is able to use that to defeat Maul.

Vader hands down, he not only has more overall combat experience, but is stronger in the force as well.

Vader is a very good fighter and Maul too but Maul is an aprentice. Vader would win
for sure because vader is Anakin Skywalker and Anakin is a good lightsaber fighter and
a good force adept (He's the choosen one).

How can you compare the Sith Lord with a simple apprentice? Darth Maul killed Qui-Gon, but could not kill Padawan Kenobi. Vader win, obviously.

According to Disney Maul's force powers are debatable. But in the EU he's shown to be quite strong to point of rivaling Palpatine. In multiple books Palpatine is trying to get Maul killed because he has gotten too powerful for him to trust and control. So there is a good chance Maul can win. Let's not forget Vader was once defeated because someone force-pressed the ACTUAL OFF SWITCH on that control panel. That was Antinnis Tremayne by the way incase you feel like looking it up, he was a High-Inquisitor. It would be a close fight in my own opinion. As for Vaders armor it can take a hell of a hit but it has weak points, thats how luke cut his hand off, no armor on the wrist. While vader can use the force to survive without his suit for a time that will weaken his abilities because he would need to concentrate on keeping himself alive and force him to rely on his saber fighting, of which I think Maul is superior.

He could kill Kenobi easy, if you read the book you can see he simply went to force push him back into the pit however the force refused to work because he was too strong and made the force unequal.

Maul doesn't stand a chance against Vader. Vader stood evenly against Obi - Wan, twice, whereas Maul was cut in half like a Roast Turkey, even when Kenobi was a Padawan.

Darth Maul is really cool, but as @Kylo Ren said, he dosen't stand a chance. Vader is pretty much one of the strongest sith lords. With is over the top powers, but Darth Maul has his dual baded saber so that's an advantage. I don't remember him having any powers so I think I'll check the wiki.

I think Darth Vader would win over Maul.

Vader is skilled in combat, not only that but his connection to the force is unrivaled by anyone and as we saw with Maul, his ego and arrogance led to his down fall. Vader is far more calculating and doesn't allow his opponents the chance to act once he has them at his mercy, with maul he chooses to play with his food as it were, which as we know led him to loosing a few pounds.

I think Vader would win, he is more powerful and has more experience than maul fighting jedi/ people with force powers and lightsabers.
