Hey GFX specialists. i wish you all a happy new year and a great start in 2016. so new year means new beginning and also to change something. so i will go first and start with my nomiation for this banner here.

i nomiate this banner from Suddenly Psychotic to go in rotation and replace #33. also i would suggest to move banner #33 to the helloween banner section for the next helloween theme. cause i think it fits perfect.

Before I vote on this, can we get together and chat over skype or something?
not for the audio/video features of skype, but for the private conference where we can all have a "meeting" together. Add me over skype first or get at me over steamchat, and then I'll create the skype group. No need to share your skype ID in this topic.
It would be very useful to get this group more mobilized.

i think thats all, if i forgott someone then i am sorry. also i would suggest to post at least 2 banners that are the same with slight changes. i mean come one we got from dusildorf 6 banner in a row which i cant see wheres the diffrence. if you make banner you should be sure when you have finish your work. 2 banners are ok if you think maybe it looks darker better for example.

i agree with you, Cruz. Next time just choose 2 of the 6 or 7 versions of the same banner, and that would be the ones that are most different inbetween each other.

i'm starting out a vote to the ones which should be considered
without reviewing them or the others right now. just the number of the banners i like most.
i'll try to get more into detail later on, when I get home.

Overall it looks bad and it was more of experimentation than real work (imo)

Anyways here are my top 10 picks (excluding my banners of course):

I have already updated the selection and you have already vote for them. Only DVAted didnt vote on them so everything is fine.

well these new additions change things
my top 10 become:
4, 6, 7, 9, 16, 19, 26, 34, 44, 46

I'm a bit on the fence with 46
the font is crazy good and Donkey Kong doesn't fit it at all.
I mean at all - chromatically, pixelately, symmetrically, it throws everything off.

if we were to remove DK from it but then it wouldn't be gaming related... perhaps add the Assassin's Creed Revelations Ezio instead?
or at least add mario or princess peach on the other side of it to ballance out the sides

if 46 isn't fixed, then I vote 39 instead of it.

and... about the Donkey Kong banner
I hope I didn't sound too rude describing it earlier
the execution of the letters is flawless. I really love that font! it's fantastic! it's high-def, detailed, intriguing, smooth, exotic, classical and modern at the same time. I just love that text, man. The background goes well with it too!
the donkey kong on the side was far too 8bit for it, though.
chromatically and aesthetically it just didn't fit, it threw everything off.
the lara croft version is an improvement, but she seems a bit forced. her colors do not match the rest of the banner very well, and it seems a bit too sexualized. I'd prefer a more realistic Lara, like the more recent games, but that's a personal choice. Not sure I'd cast lara in it either, to be honest, unless she wears khakis or an indiana jones type hat or something. anyway, the lara version is an improvement but not quite as well suited as it could be, yet. Perhaps it can be further improved, with a better gaming-related resource.
perhaps the point of it was Donkey Kong, and should remain that way.
But something on par with the awesome text. maybe an HD Donkey Kong
