So yesterday my game just started crashing before it even gets to the main menu. I haven't added any new mods, the most I did was install a mod for halo spartan armor but I didn't activate it before the crashing started, I've uninstalled it now. I don't even see how that could have screwed everything up because it was just meshes and textures. It works when I disable all my mods or have only a few activated. I can't narrow it down to any one mod I think if I pass a certain number of activated mods the game starts crashing. I don't know what the hell the problem is, the game was working fine that same morning with several mods activated. Any of y'all had this issue or have an idea of what the problem is here and how I can fix it?

Never mind I already figured it out. For some reason the esm for FOOK2 disappeared, I just put it back in the data folder. I don't know if I can delete this thread so just disregard it I guess

Just remember the most common reasons for a crash are:
1. Load order
2. Mod conflictions
3. Lack of latest patch or dlc if one of the mods you are running requires it
4. I know certainly with skyrim that if ram usage goes above 3-4 gigs then it will automatically CTD the same probably applies to fallout as well

Also make sure that you have latest updates for Fallout base game
Some mod versions will be compatible with specific updates, but not with others. It will usually be stated in the main mod description or file descriptions. Also watch for incompatibilities, which will have its own section under the main mod description. Or try the readme. Just some more tips and or suggestions from my experience as well as a few pointers from others.

Something I've found helps a lot is downloading and using FO3edit or FNVedit A LOT. I usually run this before I play NV just because I hate seeing the "Your game has crashed" menu. It's helped me save a lot of time.
