| Title. I started using FNV4GB along with AWOP 3 weeks ago and my PC suddenly started giving me black screens, freezes and ''Your graphics driver has stopped working but has recovered'' message pop up. I kept searching for a solution and among other things I found out that the message is part of a Win7 feature that prevents BSOD. I kept digging for solutions and figured out that I had tried all the possible software troubleshooting so it had to be an issue with hardware, primarily RAM.
I took my PC to the shop where I bought it (warranty is still valid), they formatted it, replaced RAM and when I got it back it worked just fine. But then I installed FNV and the aforementioned mods and shitstorm happened again.
Now when I say ''corrupt memory'' I literally mean it. Freezes and crashes happen with all my other games now as well, not just Fallout. Did anyone else have such problems before? And does anyone have more insight in FNV4GB that could help me?
My config is :
Intel i7 3770@3.4GHz
8GB RAM
ASUS P8Z77-V LX mobo
GainWard GeForce GTX 650 Ti

| I don't think FNV4GB could do this, since it takes only 4gb, not the 8gb of RAM you have. My guess it's that you have a lot of applications open at the same time, you have a virus in your computer and/or you have only one application that is taking a lot of your RAM, open your task manager (I think that's what is called in english, is an application where you can see what applications you have open) and there should be an arrow at the bottom that probably says show more or something like that (I'm sorry, my computer is in spanish so I don't really know what it says). There you can see which applications are using more memory and just close the ones that are unnecesary. This might help, I hope it does, because I don't have anymore ideas of what could you do. _________________ |

| I don't believe it can unless you install it improperly then i can imagine it would mess up you ram. It simply allows your game to use more memory for a better experience. Much like CFF explorer which i use for FO3 to expand the memory for graphics it works perfectly and safely. |

| The ''Your graphics driver has stopped working but has recovered'' error is likely a faulty GPU _________________ - MY MODS & MODS I'VE CONTRIBUTED TO:

| It is not by chance that you downloaded fnv4g version for Windows 8? because the Windows 8 does not fit the 7 and 7 does not go well with the 8 |

| All it does is flag the FNV executable so it can use the extended RAM so I highly doubt it can screw with that RAM.
And yes it does indeed work fine on Win XP to Win 10 for those wondering. |

There isn't much to screw up on installation. @hellsandre : nope, it's Win7 @mpaz96: nope, I tried running only alongside steam and antivirus in the background. Still crashed, even though I've never witnessed FO3 or FNV using more than 2 GB of memory in task manager. @OrmrSnaethorsen: the first time around I was sure it's RAM's fault, as everything worked fine at 4GB RAM until I bought and they added another 4GB a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I played FNV (literally) all day long without BSOD, freezes, or the GPU driver stopped working popup ... by running NVSE version from NMM, instead of FNV4GB. Anyway, I want to thank all of you guys for trying to help so far, nice to see a community that actually cares about someone else's problem |
