| I want to start this thread for people to post hidden gems. Mods that are really great but you would normally not see because they might be semi hidden, or just placed behind another one that may not be what you're looking for. Let me explain: The other day, after basically ignoring guns since my second or so NV playthrough, I decided to rekindle my love for firearms and make a character that would use and be skilled at them, some of the time anyway, I wanted some sort of all-rounder merc type guy (like fire, explosives and powerful guns; that kind of thing). Now, I don't really use weapon packs because I like to keep it lore friendly in order to not break the tone and aesthetic of the game. But that ,means I needed texture packs so that I wouldn't be looking at blurry blobs. The gun I really wanted to use was the Bozar, but I couldn't find any good retexture for it. There's millenia's of course, but still, it felt lacking. Until I stumbled on this: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/54959?tab=description Now, it isn't a new mod or anything, in fact, I've seen it before in the nexus. And maybe you don't care about the Bozar or anything like that, but here's my point: That mod has an amazing re texture, but normally you wouldn't find it because it's hidden behind a weapon pack. In fact, if you look for "Bozar" on Nexus, it doesn't even come up. Here's another 2: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/23194 This guy is fantastic and you should download everything he has to offer. However, what really called my attention is his amazing Nuka Cola machine. I mean, look at it and tell me it's not the absolute best one around. Yet, again, you might easily miss it since it's hidden in the clutter pack (not that the rest of the clutter isn't great mind you, just that if you look for "nuka cola" or something similar, rather than clutter, you won't find it). And don't worry, works for both NV and FO3 https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/65980 You probably have seen this pip boy replacer, the best one in my opinion. What you may not know is that there's an even better version of it, in the comments, that has functioning lights). Easy to miss if you don't read comments, like me. Anyway, I hope this helps people to find some mods they wouldn't see otherwise. Check out these mods, and post the hidden gems you might find. All Fallout games accepted. |

Select-fire. I've loved this mod since I found it. Works with modded weapons+vanilla, but basically allows you to toggle automatic weapons between full-auto, burst-fire, and single-shot.
IMO I don't use automatics alot due to how quickly they burn through ammo.... but this made them so much better to use. Sometimes I need full-auto to not die... but sometimes just a little burst-fire is my cuppa. |

| Inspector is a small little mod that adds onto the console. It can show ID's, positioning, cell info, file paths, and more. Definitely useful for troubleshooting or even general play.
Last I checked it's still actively being worked on and updated. Definitely worth checking out.

| I think my favorite for New Vegas has to be no Pip Boy in Power Armor, I love the wrist mounted pipboy but hate how it seems to crunch the metal of a suit of power armor. It also works for Dragbody's Fallout 4 Power Armor mods and with some of the other Pip Boy replacers.

Edit: Sorry, original post and mod where off topic for the thread so I revised it, with a mods I like a lot that fit the topic better however it is from Fallout 4 as opposed to New Vegas and its hard to even find since there are just so many overhauls to Diamond City it's called DC Glory and it adds actual buildings made of concrete as opposed to just scrap metal shacks. It's definitely a nice visual change to Diamond City if you've played Fallout 4 long enough that it's starting to get boring.

| Guys, obviously I welcome all additions to the list, but please remember this thread isn't about your favorite mods, or even little known/underappreciated mods. It's about mods that are hidden behind other, different mods. Generally speaking, if you can find the mod by searching for what you're looking for (for example, searching for "pipboy" or "power armor" will have "No pipboy in Power Armor" in the results), this isn't the thread for it.

| So a really hidden mod that i've started to use regularly is a mod that replaces all bottlecaps in fallout new vegas with silver coins, which I found as a mediafire link in the comment section on the nexus page for a mod that turns bottlecaps into gold
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35078?tab=posts
I like it because I think that its strange that every fallout game uses bottlecaps as a currency, as if every wastelander had the same idea all at once. I do think using gold coins would be slightly unimmersive just because gold would be rarer and more valuable, so silver seemed like a better option. |

| https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/48653 Aces High is the most underrated mod for cannibal fashionistas out there. The outfits and the crafting system in relation to them are great and unlike any other mod for New Vegas. And the reason it's unpopular seem to be pretty prosaic: author just named this mod the way nobody would ever find it unless by accident.
Another mod is Salt Lake Stories. Probably the best story mod for New Vegas, it was also left in relative obscurity because author is not too kin on promotion and added some tags that leaves it hidden for users who'd search for this kind of mod (For example, it added nudity tag, even though the mod barely has it, and at those moments it does have it, is not for jerkingoff, but for storytelling purposes and emotional impact (Like a nake, mutilated corpse of woman that was raped and left to freeze to death ) https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63332

| For those player that use hand load ammo, maintain creating food or items, this mod avoid limit creation items and stop exiting everytime you create a item.
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/59638
One user that is my favorite weapon modder is User826, lore friendly weapons, awesome if you use a retexture for some weapon this is applied to the weapon if it using but most player avoid them because dont look so awesome like millenia
