This bug happens when I enter VATS and have a reload before taking another shot; action-order: shoot, shoot, reload, shoot. One can see the reloading process and the additional shot taken but when back in normal 1st person mode the reload-animation is displayed as half played and frozen-like, meaning I can run around in the state displayed in the screenshot. When I then press the reload-key the reload animation is displayed properly and everything is fine. It's as if the reload during VATS is buggy or never fully done. And it definitely has something to do with Hitman's animations, because upon deinstalling said animations the error doesn't occur.

I really like Hitman's animations and would hate to give up on them. So any help is appreciated. I already tried the Reload-Animation-Fix by HeroinZero to no avail.

I'm afraid this is a specific problem, connected to Hitman's animations. He moved on to Fo4, and these bugs will most likely never be fixed.

If this is the only weapon that's causing this, you can remove the reload animation for it. It's located in your NV installation folder - go to data/meshes/characters/_1stperson/ and remove the file called 2hrreloadi.
The flip side is that your character will now make a rapid split-second adjustment of the weapon to the idle animation after the reload animations stops. It basically looks the same as with the lever-action rifle reload, as Hitman didn't adjust many reload animations for the new idle that he made.

That's too bad. Hopefully Decer's animations won't be buggy.
