Rekindling the Immersive Experience of the Past Empty
PostSubject: Rekindling the Immersive Experience of the Past   Rekindling the Immersive Experience of the Past EmptyTue Apr 21, 2015 8:38 am

Remember when you first played fallout, however many years ago that may be? (Different depending on your first game). I've been desperately trying to re-find that excitement and wonder of an expansive world unwinding in front of you, second by second. This feeling skyrocketed when I discovered modding and had to make the transition over to PC, it served to only increase for a long period of time as I learned how to mod, and a great loadorder emerged.

I found that this feeling was at its peak around Oblivion and Fallout 3, yet was substantially lesser with Fallout NV and Skyrim (Albeit they are great games!) Modding and interacting with the modding community helps me control the game I want to play and still leaves a good deal of mystery. but

Anyways my point is what do you guys do to to keep this feeling alive? Have you also experienced anything like this?

I actually built my PC specifically for modding Fallout. I started playing on the 360 but was so enticed by the amazing mods that I just had to construct a PC to engage in the wonder that is modding Fallout Smile I find that the never-ending search for the perfect load order is an incredibly addictive activity. Every time I add a new mod that enhances the game it reinvigorates my interest in the series.
