it runs with the mod activated and with the vanilla fonts but when i change the fonts it crashes

From what i've ready Darn Ui will crash if you make the .ini tweaks but dont have the mod installed so it might just be that NMM isn't installing it properly or for some reason its not getting checked off in your load order or enabled.

btw. which .ini are you editting b/c there can be up to 3? "The first one is Fallout_default.ini located in your Fallout New Vegas folder with your .exe. The other two are in your user sub-folder \Users\User Name\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV do the same thing you did with before to FALLOUT.INI and FalloutPrefs.ini" - scrivener07

ok i was able to fix it, and my game runs fine with every single mod i have activated besides Nevada Skies.

It's a good start. For Nevada Skies the only thing I can think of is that it is conflicting with another mod and requires a compatibility patch. You would have to check what mods you have and whether or not they conflict with nevada skies. They may have a compatibility patch that you need. (Yea it can be a pain to keep track of it all but when you get it working it will all be worth it

Also, if I remember correctly Nevada Skies install's multiple .esp files and you should only check off one.

Other than that the only issue I can think of is that it might be hardware related. I noticed that when I installed Nevada Skies my game took a bit of a performance hit, especially when there were some gnarly sandstorms.

i used to have Nevada skies on my old desktop which is probably less than half as powerful as my laptop. i can see if i need a compatibility patch. is there a list made by the author on which mods need a comparability patch?

But is there a weather mod thats even better than Nevada Skies?

Actually, I may have mispoke. Nevada Skies is pretty compatible with most mods except for other weather mods. The only think I can think of is to make sure you have the Nevadaskies.esm enabled as well as the .esp that fits with the dlc that you have being:

NevadaSkies - Basic Edition.esp
NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.esp
NevadaSkies - TTW Edition.esp

Select only one of the above. Also, make sure the .esp file is near the end of your load order. LOOT should help you with this although I've had some issues with it not updating my load order so I just did it manually.

As far as other weather mods I can't really help here. From what I've read, Nevada Skies is the most compatible but there are other weather mods such as Project Reality and Fellout but I've never used them so I cant really say how well they work.

i tried unchecking the plugin of the TTW edition.esp cause i don't have it and it works now but now i can't get the mod that lets be used through the mod configuration menu for some reason

i think it might actually not be compatible with the newest version of nevada skies

Could be a number of things man. Recheck your mods and make sure you have all the requirements for them.

Nevada Skies doesn't have actually have an MCM memu (newest version anyway). There is something in your inventory (i think under apparel) that lets you configure Nevada Skies.

Also, make sure that if you also have basic or Ultimate unchecked depending on whether or not you have all the DLC's. So if you have all of the DLC's or the ultimate edition then just leave the Ultimate .esp check and uncheck basic. If you just have the basic FNV then uncheck the Ultimate.

This is so that you get less CTD's.

ya i read in some of the posts on the mod's url on nexus and people say the newest version isn't compatible with the mod that allows nevada skies to be manipulated through the MCM.

It could be your load order, there are a lot of tools out there which can set your load order in a correct order. Although it could be a mod you downloaded conflicting with your game (such as if it requires dlc) or is conflicting with another incompatible mod. id recommend boss to set your load order but i think its a bit outdated and there are new programs! hope this has been helpful!

reinstall your game fresh from start, install the mod one by one and see whats the problem.
