The point is that the American Wasteland is a F*d up and dangerous place. Full of a variety of creatures that have and can  adapt to their environment and become little bundles of horror all on their own. The Nuka Lurk from Fallout 3/4 comes to mind, as they did quickly adapt to their surrounding evolving into a creature of their own. I am sure I am missing some other creatures but those two come to mind.

Anyways, we have seen the American Wasteland, or at least parts of it. And seeing as there is a sudden increase in interest as to what has happened to Europe in Fallout, I decided to ask every what creatures have popped up in their own country after Nuclear War? As each country has its own insects and animals, or at least some that are more native to it than others, it would be interesting to see what horrors you all think would be prowling your country or area in the Fallout Universe? What terrible mutations do you think await you in a world of Deathclaws and Molerats?
One creature I can bet would be in my own country would be mutated foxs, thats for sure.Vicious overgrown beasts that are super sneaky and super deadly.

@Spazcakes I think drunk ghouls would be the least of our problems lad. More likely we would get Bog-Ghouls, Mutant Goats, Supermutant Farmers, mutant frogs, probably have raiders attach bombs to ghouls. Shit with bogs alone, you have a whole area where your sinking into what could be radioactive sludge, and one flick of a flamer and you lit an entire field on fire in seconds.
Add to the fact you got a bunch of pissed off human inhabitants, rocky terrain, and what would no doubt be a terrain of countless waring factions, you got a whole fucking fury road thing going on.

Well, in my part of the country, the grand 'ol state of Michigan in the USA, we would have lots of giant mutated fish including invading Sea Lamprey mutated to swallow you whole.

One of the biggest questions we all have to ask is....what role does Zoo's play in all of this? We have Ghourillas, antelopes, buffalo, and gators in Massachusetts (Nuka World), but what else? I remember there being a group of Kangaroos that escaped the zoo in upstate NY a few years back, and it took them years to find them. Like Jurasssic Park...Life finds a way. What are your thoughts? Am I just a crazy hermit?

Here in the UK I'd hope we'd get some of our good old country wildlife in more insane forms.
Maybe ghoulified foxes, or Rad-Badgers. Imagine some sort of horrific Death-Hog? Giant mutated hedgehogs, charging at wastelanders? *shudders*

Aside from that, I think more flying enemies in fallout would be pretty cool, so maybe some mutated owls stalking the woodlands.

We really don't have any dangerous predators in the UK. Yet.

I had an idea, since I'm from the Southern part of the USA there are some interesting animals around. Obviously radstags, scorpions, and the like would be present but imagine snakes, but ghoulified! Those things would be the bane of my very existence. Any thing from rattler's to cottonmouths, man that legit makes me shudder lol.

And while I'm on the topic, huge annoying insects are a staple within the series. Now how about large OBNOXIOUS cicadas that just hang in the trees make too much noise, forcing you to kill the buggers.

i'm from kentucky, so i would say larger versions of squrriels, coyotes, bears, wild dogs, maybe some crazy looking chicken type monster, oh an snakes we have all different types of snakes, copperheads, rattlesnakes. mostly it would be wild dogs and bears, we don't have a large variety of animals here really though.

If you thought the US Wasteland was bad... Wait until you get to Australia!

I'm kidding, but Australia's going to be one heck of a wasteland in the fallout universe!

Back when these things were around, It would silently dive-bomb tribesmen and animals and carry them off in in 4-inch razor talons. Supposedly it could deafen folkes with it's screech. Largest Eagle to have ever existed, supposedly still lurking around today! (Our version of bigfoot) Only bird to ever be considered an Apex Predator of it's Eco-system. Imagine what it'd be like with radiation...
